Restaurant Review: Naga, London Kensington

Down a side street off of High Street Kensington is a little piece of culinary heaven. Naga is a Pan-Asian restaurant serving fresh authentic food and signature cocktails.



The restaurant is popular with everyone from families with children, to the Made In Chelsea cast; and is smart and relaxed at the same time. The dark lighting, and well-separated tables make it a great place for a quiet and private meal. The staff are attentive; but not overly so, and the prices are excellent given the quality of (and amount of) food provided, and its central London location.

When we were there, there was a family of 6 with young children, a couple on a romantic date, and a group of friends in their sixties all enjoying dinner and the surroundings; showing the versatility of Naga. 


The manager is very friendly and hands-on, and keen to recommend dishes that he thinks his customers would enjoy. We were recommended the Garlic French Beans side-dish (£7.50) as a must-try, and they were delicious and plentiful. 



For our starters we tried the Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce (£7.50) and the Chilli Salt Prawn (£7.90). Both were full of flavour and fresh herbs and spices. 




For our main courses, we went with the classic Vietnamese curries. The Thit Bo Kho (Vietnamese Mild Beef Curry) (£12.00) and the Vietnamese Chicken Curry (£8.90) were taste explosions. They were packed with so many flavours and spices that went perfectly together in the rich sauces, and the meats were tender and juicy. We could have eaten them all night.


Naga also has a fabulous cocktail menu with asian-inspired twists on classic cocktails. We tried the Watermelon Martini which was so refreshing, and was great at cleansing the palette from the richness of the flavours in the food.

Overall, Naga has a great environment, and serves fresh quality food at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning.
