We grabbed 5 minutes with The Only Way Is Essex star Lydia Bright, to find out her style secrets...

We love your dress collection at Lipstick Boutique. They are all quite glamorous. What do you wear to relax on a 'down day'?

I don’t tend to dress down very often. I do own a few cosy tracksuits but I dress up a lot- I’m always overdressed. On a typical day I wear leather trousers or jeans with boots, a blazer and smart top or blouse.

You tend to stick to a classic make-up look- smokey eyes and red lips. Are there any ways you would like to be more adventurous with your look?

Since dying my hair dark, I experiment a lot more with lip colour. I love coral and pink shades whereas before, when I was blonde, I would stick to statement red lips. Brown, smokey eyes are always a must for me. My eyes are really blue so it’s hard to pull off really dark and coloured shadow.
What's your favourite make-up brand, and what 3 'starter' products should our readers get themselves from it?

MAC is my favourite make-up brand. My must have products would have to be MAC Studio Fix Fluid, Plushglass Lipgloss in Ample Pink and Extreme Black Mascara which I love!

Whose celebrity style do you envy?

Sarah Jessica Parker, Olivia Palermo and Blake Lively

Are you a handbag girl? What's your handbag of choice at the moment?

I love handbags! My handbag of choice at the moment is the Mari tote bag from Accessorize – I have one in every colour.

What new A/W13 trend are you loving?

I’m loving two piece outfits for A/W – skirt and jacket combos are gorgeous for the winter months. Tartan is fabulous this autumn – tartan trousers, tops and jackets are great. Dusky pink is also an easy way to create a vintage look. Pops of subtle colour during the cold winter days/ nights is a great to brighten up your outfit.
